1: Online. Join one of our multiple online classes. Dates and times listed below. Book a course through our booking system and we will send you a email before the class with a link to the zoom. 

2: Online through our portal. This allows you to complete the theory section in your own time. You can then join one of the multiple 15 minute online practical sessions with our instructor. This allows you to be fully QQI certified which is a requirement in Ireland.

Group

3: Online. If you have a group we will provide a online zoom class at a time and date that suits you. Just contact us and we will agree details.

4: Face to Face. If you have a group we will travel to you or you can come to our facility. We are flexible so just contact us and we will agree details and cost.

Description

Manual Handling

Manual handling training is required under Regulation 13 of the 1993 (General Application Regulations) and 1993 Manual Handling Regulations. This training programme is aimed at providing all persons at work with proper techniques when lifting, carrying, loading, pushing and supporting. It provides employees with good work practices such as proper lift Manual Handling Techniques.

Learning Outcomes

On successful completion of this course, delegates should be able to:

  • Be aware of the necessity for safe methods of manual handling to reduce the risk of injury.
  • Understand the need to avoid manual handling by using mechanical aids where possible.
  • Assess the task using the TILE criteria (task, individual, load, environment).
  • Implement the correct method of lifting ensuring minimal risk to self and co-workers.
  • Know how to safely execute all relevant workplace manual handling tasks.
